Luis has international experience in the field of laser technology and an intellectual property portfolio of 20 patent actions and over 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals. He has a consistent history of developing innovative laser-based solutions to complex problems in a variety of industries, including healthcare, spectroscopy, materials science, processing, manufacturing, and agriculture. Luis is highly adept at obtaining grant funding and discovering new targets for utilizing state-of-the-art technological advances. He has also founded and/or directed successful research laboratories and has experience in the academic sector as a Professor at the graduate and postgraduate levels. In addition, Luis has been appointed as a Senior Associate Professor at The International Centre for Theoretical Physics of Trieste in Italy.
